Vybz Kartel, Skeng and Protoje for Sumfest 2025

Dancehall and reggae’s biggest stars will take the stage at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex in Montego Bay for Reggae Sumfest’s Festival Nights 1 and 2.

With heavy hitters like Vybz Kartel, Masicka, Sizzla Kalonji, Tommy Lee Sparta, Tarrus Riley, Skeng, Govana, Protoje and more, Friday night will be fuelled by dancehall’s sharp-edged lyricism and unstoppable energy, while Saturday night closes the festival with the soulful sounds of reggae. On the turntables, fan-favourite selectors including ZJ Liquid, Bishop Escobar, Trippple X, DJ Collision, DJ Lollipop, and Courtney will spin the beats.

The 34th staging of Reggae Sumfest is set for Sunday, July 13 to Saturday, July 19.

A seven-day affair, produced by Downsound Entertainment, the festival kicks off on Sunday with the Family Fun Day at Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex, a celebration that blends entertainment with community upliftment. Attendees can expect free medical checks, back-to-school giveaways and games for all ages.

Monday night turns the volume all the way up with the Street Dance, also at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex, with pulsing sound systems and food vendors dishing out authentic Jamaican flavours.

On Tuesday, elegance meets island chic at the signature All White Party at Pier 1. Set against the glistening waterfront, it’s the perfect night for patrons to don their finest whites and soak in live music by the sea.

Back at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex, Wednesday brings the bold and fashion-forward Blitz All Black, where monochrome looks will meet vibrant beats for a high-style party with a hardcore soundtrack.

Thursday’s Global Fete throws the spotlight on international rhythms, blending dancehall, soca, afrobeats, and more into a night of cross-cultural fusion.

Launched in 1993, Reggae Sumfest has grown far beyond a stage show. The festival now extends into philanthropy, wellness, and youth empowerment.
